BARCELONA, Spain, March 07, 2025 – During the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Tecno presented a range of state-of-the-art IA devices, including the IA Glasses Pro and the MEGABOOK S14, the world’s lightest 14-inch OLED laptop. These innovations demonstrate Tecno’s commitment to the integration of AI into consumer technology, with the aim of improving user experience in smart and computer devices.
The Tech AI Glasses Pro: A jump in AR Smart Glasses
The IA Glasses Pro Tecno stands out in the growing smart eyewear market by combining enhanced reality (AR) functionality with a camera and audio system similar to the Ray-Bans Meta. According to Tecno, these glasses incorporate a MicroLED display with a field of vision of 30 degrees and 1,500 nits of brightness, providing a more immersive AR experience compared to competitors like Even Realities G1.
However, the first direct impressions suggest that screen positioning may be a concern. Unlike the Even Realities G1, which keeps AR elements at a comfortable distance, the IA Glasses Pro Tecno places the visual directly on the user’s viewline. This approach improves engagement, but could also divert users from their environment by asking questions about ease of use for activities such as navigation.
Features and equipment enhanced by AI
These smart glasses are full of features, including a teleprometer, camera, navigation, music game, translation, Ella intelligence help, and reminders. Integrated AI, Ella, is designed to simplify the processing of information, provide site-based recommendations and summarize notifications of multiple applications. Like Meta smart glasses, AI can identify objects and locations in real time.
One of the highlights is the inclusion of a 50MP camera with a 100 degree field of view, making it the maximum resolution camera found in AI’s glasses. Tecno states that this camera supports SmartSnap, an AI-driven feature that improves photography by automatically generating captions and optimizing shooting. Although the equipment is promising, real performance remains visible.
The glasses promise up to 11 hours of music and 8 hours of mixed use with only 30 minutes of charging. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring seamless data transfer and pairing of devices.
Standard model: Tecno AI lenses
With the Pro version, Tecno also launches a more affordable AI Glasses model that omits the AR screen, offering only audio and camera features similar to the Ray-Bans Meta. This variant retains the recognition of objects and the synthesis of information generated by AI, but lacks navigation and translation functions.
Both models are made of aluminum alloy and ultra-light composite materials, with IPX4 water resistance for sweat protection. However, the IA Glasses Pro can compete with more established brands if Tecno does not refine its user interface and overall functionality.
MEGABOK S14: The world’s lightest OLED laptop
Tecno also presented the MEGABOOK S14, which claims the title of the 14-inch OLED laptop in just 899g (31.7oz). Despite its ultra-light construction, it is full of high performance components, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite computer platform. The laptop has a 2.8K OLED display, promising vibrant colors and deep black with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
With a magnesium alloy chassis, the MEGABOOK S14 is designed for professionals, creatives and players looking for portability without sacrificing power. It integrates Windows 11 and offers AI-guided improvements such as offline meeting transcription, creative tools with the help of AI, and a personal TPM for localized knowledge recovery.
External Charts Wharf and AI Productivity Characteristics
The laptop supports an external graphics spring with a NVIDIA GPU, allowing users to boost performance for games and creative tasks. According to Tecno, IA capabilities integrated into the laptop allow real-time imaging, PowerPoint presentations generated by IA, and perfect collaboration between Tecno smartphones and tablets.
Security features include fingerprint connection, backlit keyboard and advanced webcam configuration with a double-mic system to improve audio clarity. With up to 16 hours of battery, the MEGABOOK S14 aims to ensure an optimal balance between mobility and performance.
Camon 40 Tecno Series: A new line of smartphones
In addition to laptops and AI laptops, Tecno presented four new smartphones under Camon 40 Premier, Camon 40 Pro 5G, Camon 40 Pro and Camon 40 series. The Premier model leads the alignment, with a size 8350 chip set, a 144Hz screen and a 50MP quad camera system. The Pro models, available in 5G and 4G variants, maintain high frequency and powerful cameras, but use slightly lower chipsets.
One of the most intriguing features of Camon 40 Premier is its advanced camera system, including a 50MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom. The series also sees changes in design, with a shift to a more conventional style while preserving Tecno’s two-tone aesthetic signature.
Presentation SpectraVision camera for color accuracy
Beyond the material updates, Tecno pushes the boundaries of mobile photography with its SpectraVision Camera, a multispectral image sensor capable of capturing nine color channels. Compared to traditional smartphone cameras, which normally depend on four color channels, this new sensor significantly improves color accuracy, especially in demanding lighting conditions.
The 2MP spectral camera works with AI-controlled image processing to ensure natural skin tones and realistic color representation. Universal Tecno The tones algorithm further refines this process by using an inclusive skin tone database to prevent non-natural hues in photographs.
Although Tecno has not yet announced the prices and availability of its AI, MEGABOOK S14 and Camon 40 glasses, these announcements indicate the company’s aggressive push in integrated electronics with AI. According to Tecno, these products aim to bring next-generation AI characteristics to emerging markets at competitive prices.
