BARCELONA, Spain, March 7, 2025 – Intel officially presented its latest business processor alignment with AI at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, marking a significant breakthrough in business computing. The new version of Intel Core Ultra Series 2 now includes Core Ultra 200U, 200H, 200HX, 200S and the new Core Ultra 200V. These chips are not only another iteration of Intel hardware, they are equipped with advanced security, improved performance and the latest vPro technology for commercial quality computer.
What makes Intel Core Ultra Series 2 special?
According to Intel, the new Core Ultra Series 2 chips are designed to power a wide range of commercial devices, from ultra-fine laptops to high-end workstations. The highlight of this launch is the integration of Intel vPro, a technology suite aimed at improving safety, remote management and overall business productivity.

Intel Core Ultra 200V: a game changer for business laptops
One of the biggest announcements was the introduction of the Intel Core Ultra 200V series. These processors are built taking into account efficiency, with up to 20 hours of battery, which is an important point of sale for commercial users. While real world performance may vary, Intel’s focus on the extended battery life suggests a commitment to mobile productivity.
Note that the Core Ultra 200V series press materials highlight a logo of ‘Copilot + PC’, indicating that these chips will support advanced AI-driven features. - The Intel Core Ultra 7 265U delivers up to 1.13x better performance in Geekbench 6.3 multi-core tests compared to its predecessor, the Core Ultra 7 165U.
- The Intel Core Ultra 265H offers up to a 1.29x boost over the Intel Core Ultra 165H.
- Compared to a four-year-old Intel Core i7-1185G7, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265H is up to 2.42x faster in multi-core workloads.
These improvements may not seem revolutionary for consumers who improve state-of-the-art chips, but for companies that use old hardware, the leap in performance could be substantial. This comparison also highlights Intel’s emphasis on convincing companies to refresh their fleets of equipment.
What PC Manufacturers adopt new Intel chips?
The latest Intel processors are already entering laptops and commercial workstations. More than 150 devices from major manufacturers, including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft, will have these new chips.
The Intel Core Ultra 200V with vPro processors is already in place, while the rest of the alignment, including the 200U, 200H, 200HX and 200S, will reach the market by the end of March 2025.
Intel focuses on security: vPro and the supply chain initiative assured
Security remains a priority for Intel, and new Core Ultra 2 vPro chips introduce robust security features designed to protect professional users. These processors include hardware-based authentication, advanced firmware protections and Microsoft Secured-core PC compliance.

In addition, Intel works closely with Microsoft and the CrowdStrike cybersecurity company to align vPro’s security features with the MITRE ATT plagaamp framework; CK. The aim of this collaboration is to improve mechanisms for detecting and defending threats in the business community.
